Making your dream a reality is as simple as a phone call. Red Leaves operate a helpful, knowledgeable resource to help answer your initial questions and guide you right through the construction process. Of course you’re more than welcome to contact the Confederation headquarters directly as well.

Our Getting Started Worksheet is a great way to start defining your needs while helping us to answer your questions more effectively. And of course, there is no obligation. Red Leaves will act as a co-coordinator between you and the design team to ensure your plan is representative of your vision and meets your needs.

Step Two - Designing your home

How do you design a log home? There’s more than one right answer to the question but it usually begins with a property for your home. Typically, our homeowners have already purchased the land for their new log home. The next step is to choose a plan or design a custom home suitable for the property to maximize the potential of the land. Looking at one of four model homes is a great first step in the design of your home. Our model homes have been designed specifically for the UK market, and having been designed by UK architects and passing UK building regulations, many of the large costs associated when building your own home have already been covered.

Flexibility is one of the prime advantages of an 1867 Confederation Log Home. While we offer an extensive array of plans you may choose to modify the plan, modify some of the details of the house or we will design a completely customized home.

We will work closely with you to help achieve your design objectives within your budget. Red Leaves work closely with the design team at Confederation Log Homes to articulate your vision and the many personal details that will make your home unique.

Today fax machines and e-mail have rendered distance a non-issue in designing even the most customized homes. Whether you choose to work through Red Leaves or directly with 1867 Confederation Log Homes, the process is much the same as for those in our local vicinity. As you articulate your dream and the details you envision, our team of designers go to work putting it on paper. The results can be faxed or e-mailed for review and comment.

Step Three - Construction

Again, an 1867 Confederation Log Home is all about choice and flexibility. Your level of participation is certainly up to you. Whether you're anxious to put your honed carpentry skills to work or you prefer to let the experts do the work, we can accommodate your every wish. From purchasing land to finding a plumber, total turnkey construction or choosing to only to have the shell crafted and sent to you, we can assist you every step of the way.
